The moon's tides make the ocean's millions of gallons of water rise and fall, which is a natural refection of our experiences in everyday life. Our lunar calendar Kundalini event is an opportunity to regularly and intentionally use the force of the universe to move your life forward in a group setting, and to liberate yourself from your normal earthly physical, mental and emotional limitations to manifest all of your divine intentions, goals and aspirations.
Challenge your body and adjust your mind with this longer-than-usual meditation. This experience will be difficult and easy, active and still. Your mind will resist and you will be challenged and pushed slightly out of your usual comfort zone, but not more than you can handle. Remind yourself of what you are capable of doing, even when your mind is telling you to stop.
Join us for this Kundalini Yoga Event and use the force of the New Moon to reorient what Kundalini Yoga identifies as your positive, negative and neutral mind. You may not be familiar with these terms now, but the meditation will let you greet them like old friends. Remember that the high tide does not break the water. This experience will confirm on a cellular level that you can be "powerful and unlimited" every day.
Take charge and be the master of your destiny. Each month you will experience a different meditation that is challenging in its own way. These meditations can remind you that each moment of your life is not too hard, that you can just keep going and really enjoy it because the effort accumulates into an overall amazing experience.
Inspire and be an inspiration to yourself and others.
Be the Lighthouse.
~ Yogi Bhajan
My intention to blog more frequently this year is slowly moving forward. I would say bi-yearly is progress. :)
This year has been a year of growth and development in my teaching. Currently I am teaching Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at Santa Barbara Yoga Center, and Friday evenings and Sunday mornings including leading a Saturday Morning Sadhana at Divinitree in Santa Barbara.
At the beginning of the year my experience of focusing on a specific set each month gave the students an opportunity to get a handle on the Kundalini Kriyas through repetition. I received comments from students on how they enjoyed the experience of repetition. It supported them to be able to get out of their heads and get in touch with themselves by increasing the awareness of their physical and emotional ways of being.
I am finding that this journey of self exploration is a fascinating and never ending process of self-unraveling and experientially understanding that everything is connected.
For more unraveling and self exploration join me this Saturday, July 26th, at 8:15pm in the Sun Room at Divinitree. I will be leading a Long Meditation during the New Moon. This community building event is by donation, and I hope that this experience will exponentially grow each month to support those who are looking to manifest and fully experience and share the greatness that lies within.
"When our spirit and actions are in harmony;
when our heart and thoughts are in accord,
that is deep meditation."

My intention this year, 2014, regarding my blog is to blog more frequently throughout the year. My plan is to dedicate my entries toward the classes that I am teaching this session from Jan-Jun. January has come and gone and we are now in the month of February, so there is no time like the present to get moving on this intention.
In addition to blogging more frequently on my blog my intention for this year is to focus on one specific Kundalini Yoga Set and Meditation each month.
In the month of January going into this new year, I dedicated the month's class sessions on the intention of letting go of the past and past experiences with the 'Meditation to Bring Up the Past' on pg. 122 in the book, 'Relax and Renew' by Gururattan Kaur Khalsa, Ph. D. This is an amazing meditation that guides the practitioner experientially through the experiences of the past and shows the practitioner that one has the power and the tools, with practice, to emotionally detach current day experiences from thought processes related to events in the past.
I personally know the benefits of doing this amazing Kundalini Yogic practice, and look forward to others discovering the amazing effects of doing this practice. There are so many layers of yourself to uncover inorder to develope your inner strength, happiness, and well-being.
This Month's, February, focus is on the heart center. Come to classes at Divinitree and/or Santa Barbara Yoga Center and uncover the aspects of your heart in all of its many facets.
'You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside.' ~Wayne Dyer
My desire is to share the benefits of this practice to those who are looking to become more in sync with their authentic self and access their innate brilliance.
